This past Tuesday, we revived our YOKE program in Blount County by starting club with our students from Eagleton! Headed by team leader Liz Palmer, our team is so excited to continue to grow their club and continue to reach the Eagleton community. Other YOKE Folk who are bringing their talents to this team are Brian Johnson, Madeline Cresswell, Trenli Tallent, and married couple Sonny and Chattin Reid. Their hearts for Blount County, the Lord and middle school students are like no other. We are excited to see the fruits of their labor as they dedicate their time and energy to the Lord’s work in Blount County.

Uniquely, our Eagleton YOKE club is not meeting at Eagleton Middle School. Instead, we are partnering with one of the local churches, Madison Avenue Church. We are beyond grateful for this partnership as it allows for our students to not only hear the gospel through YOKE but potentially be able to plug into a youth group at an already familiar church! Our goal is to continue to partner with churches so that our YOKE kids can hear about God in multiple ways and places throughout the week! It is a blessing that our Eagleton families have the opportunity to connect with a church they may not have been to except through this partnership.

We are always looking for more volunteers and church partners like Madison Avenue to help us with our mission here in East Tennessee. If you have any interest in partnering with YOKE whether it is in prayer, finances, time, skills, or as a potential church partner, please reach out at yoke@yokeyouth.com.

If you have a heart and passion for Blount County as we look forward to starting YOKE clubs in even more schools, please reach out to our Blount County Area Director, bridget@yokeyouth.com.
