When did you start coming to YOKE? In the beginning of 7th grade
How did you hear/know about YOKE? My friends told me about it
What’s your favorite part of YOKE club and why? The games we play because they are fun and usually involve running
How many camps have you been to? Which ones? I have been to 3 yoke camps fall, spring, and summer
What’s your favorite YOKE camp? Summer camp was definitely my favorite
What’s your favorite part of camp and why? The classes I took during summer camp
What has your leader taught you? He has taught me how to stay closer to God when we had our bible study and devotion times
How has YOKE impacted your life? It has helped me stay closer the lord and get better friends
Anything else you want to tell us about YOKE? Not really but i will tell others about this awesome program
How did you hear/know about YOKE? My sister Nicole asked me to join her YOKE team at norris middle, and the rest is history
What’s your favorite part of YOKE club and why? Definitely the times before and after club getting to know the kids
How did you meet Jordan? I met Jordan when I had gone to eat lunch with some of our YOKE kids at the middle school and he was eating with them. I will never forget how he refused to come to YOKE until I arm wrestled him lol
Describe Jordan: Snarky, witty, devoted, a little obnoxious and more fun than anyone I have ever met
What kinds of things have you and Jordan done together? other than club and camps Jordan and I have gone to see movies, played football, we have had lunch together and went to see some concerts.
Has Jordan any decisions for Christ while in YOKE? I really don’t know. what I do know is that he always says that we encourage him to follow God everyday!
In what ways has YOKE helped Jordan? His mom has told me, and others that because of his dads work, Jordan’s father is not home a lot, and YOKE has been the outlet where he can express himself and have good strong male role models
Anything else you want to tell us about Jordan? He is crazy excited about everything having to do with YOKE and more importantly everything to having to do with Jesus. Jordan is an awesome kid with a bright future, even though he can be a handful he is one of the best yoke kids I have had yet!
How many camps have you been to? Which ones? I just got back from my third camp with Jordan sadly he was not in my cabin, this time. but we still had chances to hang out and have some fun!
What’s your favorite YOKE camp? probably spring camp 2012
What’s your favorite part of camp and why? Counseling kids, it has made me realize that everything I have done to this point has all been worth it. Club, camp, spending time with them even sitting right where they are at one point in my life.
What has Jordan taught you? That everyone is different. you cannot change them you can only love them for what God made them to be?
How has YOKE impacted your life? It has made my walk with Christ way stronger because I am studying more so that I am always prepared.
What decision(if any) have you made for Christ while in YOKE? That I should not worry about if people (Kids, YOKE Folk or co-workers) don’t like me I should live my life to earn the respect of God.
Anything else you want to tell us? That YOKE has been an awesome blessing, it has encouraged my walk with God as well as that of thousands of middle school students.
