Spring in East Tennessee never disappoints—unless you were hoping for consistent weather. But sunshine or chill, that didn’t stop more than 350 students and YOKE Folk from showing up for two unforgettable weekends at this year’s Operation C.A.M.P.!
Hosted over back-to-back weekends, students from across five counties gathered for a unique military-themed camp. Divided into teams representing the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force, and even the Space Force, students enjoyed competitions, games, and skits designed to build teamwork and strengthen community. Club talks, cabin time discussions, and simple conversations with mentors helped students discover their identity and purpose in Christ.
“Camp is always a happy place for me,” said Bridget Beam, a former YOKE Kid and YOKE Folk who now serves on staff. “The views, the fun, the disconnection from social media – I love seeing everyone smiling and enjoying time alone with Jesus and in community with one another.”
A True Team Effort
Operation C.A.M.P. brought together the full force of the YOKE family:
-
Alumni leaders like Amy Cabbage, Eric Loveland, John Johnson, and Lucas Hurd gave their time and talents to serve.
-
Our incredible Future Folk—YOKE’s high school leaders-in-training—stepped up in a big way, helping with setup, cleanup, and all the weekend fun.
-
And in the best news yet, nearly every 8th grader who attended signed up to be part of the Future Folk program next year.
Thank You for Making It Possible
This camp couldn’t have happened without you—our generous supporters and prayer partners. Your gifts and service helped cover meals, transportation, supplies, and scholarships, ensuring that every kid who wanted to be there could be. We’re glad to have you on the team!
